Zanzibar, the place where Africa, Arabia and India meet, is an exotic island with tropical turquoise water, spices and a vibrant local community. We go on a tour to Stone Town, the market, the slave market, the women get into the swing of things and have their hands hennaed.

Stone Town is the place where the Sultans of Arabia traded slaves. We visit the dungeons where the slaves were held in transit in inhumane conditions and later depart for the beaches in the northern parts of the island.

We book in at the Kendwa Sunset Bungalows ? pristine clean beaches and warm turquoise water. We swim the whole day and eat barefoot by candle-light on the beach. If you want to break away for an idyllic island holiday, this is the place.
