During an early-morning game drive, we again see prides of lion and other animals. Later on we head west and encounter the wildebeest migration: thousands cross the road right in front of our bakkies. These wildebeest migrate between the Maasai Mara in Kenia and the Serengeti, depending on the rainy season. The predators follow them – an absolute feast for them and the crocodiles in the Grumeti and Mara River.

We get stung by a few bees at the last camp, Ndabaka, and we quickly head off to Lake Victoria where we stay at the Speke Bay Lodge, on the banks of the lake with the water lapping the shore 10 m away from our chalets and crocodiles lazying in the sun.
