Jy moet community werk doen, strate skoonmaak, bome plant, ens. Dis is half onwerklik, alles is doodstil. Reg vir Uganda more.

After breakfast we are ready to leave, but we are told that it is the last Saturday of the month and in Rwanda no-one is allowed to drive before 11:00 am. You have to do community service, clean the streets, plant trees, etc.? It is almost unreal, everything is quiet. In the army we picked up enough sigarette butts and beer-can rings, so we hang around in the camp and share information on roads and camping spots with other overlanders.

We are now in Kagali where we drink the best Rwandan coffee. We also stocked up on supplies at a decent shop.

Tonight we stay over in Kigali, the Singapore of Africa. We have to drive on the right-hand side of the road and some of the ladies border on the hysterical when we drive in the traffic circles, but at this stage we do not care too much, even if it means that we block the whole main road. We are ready for Uganda tomorrow.
