Lake Tanganyika, Victoria , Kivu. Lake Edward en Albert le nog voor .

From Kigali we drive through a valley in the mountains which can be described as one enormous tea plantation. Everyone is working and all the soil is utilized, from the mountain peaks right down to the banks of the rivers.

The border post was a breeze and before long we are in Uganda. We camp next to the most spectacular of the lakes in the Rift Valley up to now, Lake Bunyonyi, at a depth of more than 900m deep the deepest of all the lakes in Uganda.

We have been travelling quite a distance in the western part of the African Rift Valley, with all the lakes which flow out into bodies of water from the Red Sea to Mozambique: Lake Tanganyika, Lake Victoria and Lake Kivu.

Lake Edward and Lake Albert are still waiting for us.
