Dag 53 Dorze Ethiopia

Gaan nou ‘n koffietjie afsluk volgens n Ethiopiese ritueel.

We venture steep and ascend very high in the mountains to Dorze, a village 3000m above sea-level where locals still live like centuries ago in upright little houses erected from bamboo and palm fronds. They prepare a type of pancake for us and we eat it with honey and a sauce with a bite while drinking a home-made brandy.

Traditionally they weave products with cotton, and the women buy cloth here. After that we visit pay a visit to their market where goats, beans, honey, coffee, cloth and various other merchandise are sold.

Back to Arba Minch where we camp yet again. We are now getting into the Ethiopian mood; each country has its own atmosphere. We are now going to indulge in a coffee la Ethiopian ritual.
